I'M IN BUSINESS!!!

I've been taking pictures for people for quite a while now and working on a website and product/pricing guide for about the last month. Well, I think I am finally done with that, so I figured it was time to "officially" announce that I am in business!

Check out MY WEBSITE (if the link doesn't work - which it seems not to be for some reason, my website is www.jaideanbakerphotography.com).

And to get things rolling, I will take 10% off any order that is made before I go on maternity leave (due Nov. 27). That's on top of the session fee being waived and a free 8x10 included with every order (see MY WEBSITE for details).

I am very excited to be able to pursue this passion of mine and I appreciate your support!!!

Tonsils

Teagun had his one year follow-up appointment at the ENT for the tubes in his ears and to check out his tonsils (again). They kept telling us his tonsils would get smaller as he got older, but today the doctor said there is no way they should still be as big as they are, so he said it is time to take them out. He snores horribly and is not the greatest eater - I'm guessing because it probably hits them as he swallows. He mainly eats soft things like cottage cheese and macaroni and cheese. The doctor agreed this was probably the reason. Trevor took him to the appointment this morning and I told him to make sure to get the appointment before the baby is due because I didn't want to have to take care of a new baby and him when he wasn't feeling well. Well, they were able to get us in on Tuesday - and this is the place where it takes at least a month or two to even get in to see a doctor??? Kind of strange, but I am glad we are going to be able to get it out of the way. They also want to put the tubes back in his ears because he still has quite a bit of fluid in there. At least they can do it all at once while he is out. Poor guy - hopefully this is the last of being put under for a LONG time!!!

So I attempted to get a picture of his tonsils for you all to see and he was less than cooperative tonight (did I mention below how he hadn't hit the terrible two's yet...well, I think he has hit them the last day or so!). But here is a picture where you can at least kind of see them in there! Sorry about the sun flare coming down the middle - very distracting, but it was the only one I caught with his mouth open!

And I did catch one of him smiling too!

30 Weeks

As promised, my 30 week "baby bump"! :) Sorry it is so blurry - the self-timer does not work very well when you are running it by yourself!

What's your guess - boy or girl? Here in the next month or so I saw this cool game where people can guess boy/girl, date, weight, etc. I may have to do something like this and have a little prize for the winner. A little blog contest! That would be fun!!!

What's Happening???

Since I have been horrible about posting pictures lately, I guess I need to become a writer...which I am not and have never claimed to be! :) So thought I would give a quick update on how we are doing.

Teagun is cuter than ever (of course!) :) I love this age soooo much! I'm kind of worried about when he turns 3 now though because everybody says that you either get the "terrible twos" or it comes when they are 3. Now he definitely can try our patience at times, but his little sayins, facial expressions, personality are all so much fun and make us laugh daily. His favorite saying right now is, "What's a ______ do?" The blank could be anything - bulldozer, flower, shoe, ect. and you have to be quick on your feet responding back to him. What does a flower do??? I just told him "Looks pretty." last night!?!?!? He has also become quite the little helper in the kitchen. Whenever he hears me start to make dinner he comes running in asking, "Mommy hold you? Teagun help?" So I have to pull a chair over and give him a spoon and let him help me as much as possible. It is pretty fun most of the time.

The last one of his ear tubes fell out last weekend. The first one fell out about 3-5 months ago (we didn't see that one) and he ended up with an ear infection in that ear not soon after. We go in next week for his one year ear check-up and we are going to schedule an appointment to get his tonsils out. Have I ever posted a picture showing his tonsils on here? I will have to try and dig one up or get him to show us again so I can - they are HUGE! Like there is just barely enough space between them so that they aren't touching. I'm sure whenever he swallows food, it has to hit them. He snores horribly because of them too. I doubt they will put the tubes back in this soon after since he has only had one ear infection since they have fallen out, but if there is any indication that he may need them again, I am really hoping they will put them back in while he is getting his tonsils out so he doesn't have to be put under twice!

Potty training is back to a stand still. He just fights us on it sooo much right now, we figured he isn't quite ready. They say they will tell us when they are, but it is driving me insane - that's for sure! He's a stubborn little guy when it comes to this! I think we may have to wait until after the baby comes because I've read several different studies saying most kids regress when a big change happens in their life (such as a new sibling), so I think we will let him adjust to that change first before we start pushing it really hard again. I am just keeping my fingers crossed he is done by age 3 - which is the average for boys!

I am doing and feeling great! Tomorrow I will be 30 weeks! Wow, this pregnancy has gone by soooo fast! Less than 10 weeks away until we get to meet our new little one. I will try and take a picture tomorrow and post it. I had to take my 1 hour glucose screening test a couple weeks ago and failed that, so they called me back in to take the 3 hour one. I failed the 1 hour one with Teagun too and had to take the 3 hour one. I remember it being way worse last time than this time though, so that was good! I passed it, so I don't have to go on a strict diet...though that would probably be good for me and I'm not motivated enough to actually just do it myself!

And...Trevor is doing great! That's all! (hee-hee). How sad is it that I don't have any new news on him??? Well, I guess I wouldn't have anything new about me either if I weren't pregnant and it is supposed to be all about the kids now, right?!?!? :)

Here are probably the only two pictures I have taken in the last couple of weeks. When we planted grass this spring there were some patches that wouldn't grow because our backyard is pretty sandy. So here is one of Trevor and Teagun shoveling out dirt from his pickup so hopefully the seed will stick and grow in this instead. And then one of Teagun taking a little break.

Hannah

I had the opportunity to take senior pictures for Hannah last week. It was my first time for senior pictures and it was so much fun! So much easier than taking pictures of Teagun who does not like to look or listen to me! :) Thought I would share a few.

Some Favorites

Here are some of my favorites taken while in Oregon along with some family pictures my sister-in-law took of us.

and finally...The Last Few Days

Of our trip to Oregon! Seriously, where does time go???

On Wednesday, we laid pretty low. I was exhausted for some reason and slept a ton! Teagun did get to go out and go crabbing with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Logun though. He was pretty excited about that. And they caught enough for us to have crab dinner that night - yum!

And just one of Teagun being silly after he got off the boat.

On Thursday we drove to Portland and went to the Oregon Zoo. It is a very cool zoo! Teagun was just a little bit tired by the end of the week though, so it was actually a pretty quick trip and I hardly took any pictures there!

Friday was our last day before we headed home. We went to this cool beach and took some family pictures which I will share in the next day or so (along with some favorite shots over the week). We also went back to Cannon Beach and walked around and went out to dinner. Here is one of Teagun I took while waiting for Grandma Mary to come out of the shell shop (she is a shell collector, so it took awhile!). And one of Trevor and Teagun with his mom and sister.

Halloween Sneak Peak

I got a little side-tracked while working on the Oregon pictures. I promise I will finish out the week here soon for anyone that even cares! :)

I got Teagun's costume in the mail last week and had the chance on Friday to try it on him and take some pictures. It is so dang cute. It is definitely difficult to walk-in though - good thing we probably won't be going trick-or-treating again this year...just at my office at work.

He told me the horsey needed to eat some hay right here.

The First Few Days

Well, it is taking me longer to get through the pictures than I thought - darn work getting in the way! So here is a recap of the first few days from our trip to Oregon.

Day 1 -
Teagun's 1st campfire and smore

Day 2 -
We went to Cannon Beach for the day and walked through town and all the cool little shops they have there. Saw where the last scene from Goonies was shot (where the ship comes out from behind the rocks)...I assumed it was anyways - it looked just like it! :) Here is a picture of Teagun running on Cannon Beach.

Day 3 -
We drove along the coast to Newport Beach, which was about a 2 hour drive from where we stayed to take Teagun to the aquarium for the first time. They have a very cool aquarium there. I so wish we had a zoo and aquarium in our area to frequent more often. Teagun would love that.
We stopped in the old downtown area and walked around a bit before heading to the aquarium and came across a ton of sea lions laying on the docks. Teagun thought it was pretty cool.

And a few pictures from the aquarium:

On our way home we stopped off and hiked up to a waterfall (pictured in my post below) and here are a couple pictures of Trevor and Teagun on the hike to/from it.

Notice Teagun's hair. After this stop, we made a stop at a salon and had his hair cut. :( I totally caved. It was so windy and then with riding in the car all day, he had constant bedhead. I was nervous all the pictures I wanted to take were going to look ridiculous with bedhead so I decided on a whim that we needed to cut his hair. Don't make decisions like this on vacation! The haircut is really cute, but his hair was starting to get long and be closer to what I was imagining and now we have to start from scratch again...uggghhh!

More photos to come soon!

I think I'm Addicted...

Sorry - still going through the Oregon pictures and will post more of those here soon, but I just received my first canvas in the mail yesterday and am so excited about it that I just had to share. It only took me 3+ years to get a big wedding picture printed for our house - not too bad! :) It is 16x24...It is huge! I normally just get prints in the normal 8x10 size to hang on my wall, so I was suprised with how big this was compared to that, but I love, love, love it! I think I might have to make one of my big walls in my living room a canvas picture wall because now I want all my pictures on canvas (don't worry - I'm not that crazy!). Anyway, just thought I would share!

We're Back

We just got back from a week vacation on the Oregon Coast. Pretty sad that I have lived in WA State my whole life and never been to the Oregon Coast. But it is a long drive. It took us 8 hours to get there. Trevor had the timer going on my car for the entire trip and it said we were in the car driving for over 32 hours this week! That's a lot of driving. I got a stiff neck turning back to talk to and take care of Teagun so much. He really was an excellent little traveler though - just the last hour on the way home he got super antsy. So I can't complain at all! Both Trevor and I said the Oregon Coast reminded us a lot of Hawaii...well, if it had been 20-30 degrees warmer it really would have! But it is just gorgeous! Everything is so lush and green. All the trees are growing over the roadways making a big, beautiful green tunnel on the highways. The towns are so fun and quaint. Lots of fun little shops. Tons and tons of gorgeous beaches. I will be sharing more pictures from our vacation throughout this next week. Here are a few of the landscape and sunsets though.

Photo Overload

Well, since it has been over a week since I posted any pictures, I thought I would post a lot to make up for it! :)

My sister and her family were up here a few weeks ago and we took the kids to Silverwood and Boulder Beach Water Park. It was a lot of fun! Teagun was pretty much a big chicken the entire time until right before we wanted to leave and then he wanted to ride the helicopter and "hairplane". Oh well, and least he decided to go on a few rides on his own by the end! So here are some peoples from the day.

This was the first ride I put him on. Since I couldn't ride any rides, Grandma Karen and Aunt Jennie went with him. He didn't really care for this ride. Probably not a good ride to start with!

He did enjoy the leisurely log ride until this part of it! :)

Then the helicopter ride he actually requested himself to go on at the end of the day. Riding with his cousin Gunner. Yes, they have matching outfits (I just took Teagun's swim trunks off after we went swimming).

And then the one ride I actually did go on with him - the elephant ride (actually, there was one other car ride I went on with him, but it was just old time cars that goes in a loop - Teagun did really like that ride too).

One final picture. Boone with the frog that lives in my parents hot tub (it is empty).
