Bye-Bye Daddy!!!

Teagun and I are headed for a short vacation to visit my sister and her family, so there won't be any new posts until Thursday at the earliest! I know Teagun will miss his daddy (he is such a daddy's boy!), but he will love playing with his nephews! It is a 9+ hour car ride to get there though, so wish us (well, me) luck!!! :)

Teagun and Daddy getting some use out of Teagun's undies since he doesn't like to wear them the correct way! :)

And one final one of Teagun playing outside in his wagon.

Have a great week everyone!!!

4 Things

I've been tagged by Jennifer

Things you may not have known ….or cared to know for that matter.

Four jobs I have had in my life:
- Lifeguard
- Bowling Alley Attendant (gotta get through college somehow!)
- Intern/Cashier at Office Depot
- HR/Training Assistant

Four Movies I would watch over and over:
- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
- American Pie (all of them)
- My Best Friend's Wedding
- Dirty Dancing

Four Places I have lived:
With my parents in Deer Park
Dorms at The University of Idaho in Moscow
The Trailor in Moscow
With Trevor and Teagun in Spokane

Four favorite Bands/Singers:
Jack Johnson
Faith Hill
Nickelback
Is it sad that I can't even come up with another one? I prefer to listen to a variety of music than just CD's of one singer...

Four Loves of Your Life:
Trevor
Teagun
My parents
My sisters

Four Most Memorable Moments:
Getting Married
Having Teagun
Graduating College
Mine and Trevor's first date when we were 15/16 years old (I spilled my dinner all over the place at the restaurant)

Four Of My Favorite Foods:
Ice Cream
Pizza
Ice Cream (yes, listed twice!)
Mexican Food (tacos, chimis, enchiladas, nachos)

Four Places I’d rather be right now:
Sleeping (it's only 7am!)
With Trevor and Teagun
In Hawaii
Someplace fun that Teagun would enjoy like the zoo or Disneyland.

And now I am tagging Lyndsay, Anne-Marie, and Stephanie

Meet Kyra

I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful 9-month old girl this weekend. I never get to take pictures of girls, so I was very excited. She was such a joy to work with too - just up for anything and everything.

So Fast!!!

Teagun loves to show us how fast he is. He runs up and down our hall all night telling us to watch. "So fast, mommy!" So of course when we went to the park and had a huge space to run all of us had to "run fast" with him. Here are a few of Teagun showing us how fast he can run.

On a different note: Alert, Alert: Proud mommy moment ahead!!! Teagun counted to 10 all by himself this week! It is so funny how the littlest things your child does can make you so proud. I remember never feeling so proud the first time he let out his first little giggle and at Teagun's first Christmas when he started crawling for the first time. The little things he is doing are definitely getting bigger and more complex, but each new thing he does makes me just as proud every time! Ok, my little brag session is over! Here are the pictures!

At the Park

We are enjoying the somewhat warmer weather and getting out of the house as much as possible. We have been taking Teagun to the park a lot and he is absolutely loving it!

Safety First

This bike was a gift from Teagun's aunt for his first birthday. He liked it last year, but he LOVES it this year! Last year he absolutely hated to wear the bike helmet, but this year he actually wants to wear it when he is on his bike. It totally cracks me up, but at least he is getting used to wearing a bike helmet whenever he gets on a bike! Oh, and if anyone is looking for a good present for a 2 year old - this bike would be it! We go on walks all over the neighborhood with Teagun on this thing and it is great!

Random Pictures

As I mentioned below, we were down by the river watching the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday. Here are a couple other pictures I took while there.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We took Teagun the the parade this morning and he got antsy waiting for it to start and we didn't get there early enough to get a really good seat, so we decided to walk down behind the convention center and along the river to see the ducks. Ended up being a great location to watch the parade since everything went right over the bridge. Teagun also had a ton of room to run and play and no one was around. Here are a couple pictures from this morning. The one of the parade you will notice it is an old concrete truck - that's the company Trevor works for.

Dress Up

Teagun's version anyway! I had him stripped down to just a diaper and was cooking dinner and he came and asked me to put his mittens on him (which he never wears b/c they don't have a thumb and he hates them), so I did. Then he asked for a coat, so I put one on him. Then he went and grabbed his cowboy hat and put it on and was running around the house as happy as can be. Have I told you how much I am enjoying this age - they are so much fun and sooo entertaining!!!

Blue Eyes

I got off work a little early yesterday and took full advantage of the time change - the light coming in my front window was perfect, so I of course had to have a little photoshoot with Teagun. He didn't last very long, so I only got a couple, but that's ok. The second picture I was just playing around in Photoshop - I am finally breaking out of my shell and attempting to try new things (I don't like change or the unknown, so I tend to stick with what I am comfortable with!)...I'm just taking baby steps and played around with his eyes this time around! :)

Close-up Shots

On the photography board I am a part of the "challenge" this week was close-up shots. Here are some of the shots I was able to get of Teagun. The first was my favorite and the one I submitted - great eye contact and a smile - very rare with him!!!

Outside Again!

The weather is finally getting up into the 50's, which feels like a heat wave to us, so we have been venturing outside and playing this week. Teagun is absolutely loving it! I think he will probably be living outside this summer if we would allow it.

City Slicker

Teagun discovered his dad's old cowboy hat from when he was a little kid and didn't want to take it off this afternoon. He only will wear it sideways though...silly kid!

Finger Painting

With ketchup (and mustard if we would have had any). I got this idea from Princess Pigbear's blog and thought Teagun would love it. Pretty much the three pictures below of him actually painting was the only time he really painted. He enjoyed eating the ketchup way more! I think he could possibly live off ketchup if we would let him right now!

Yummm...this is good paint!

And one of him washing off in the sink afterwards.

No More Pictures, Mommy

This was actually taken a while ago, but I recently ran across it and it makes me smile so I thought I would share.

Drool

When does the drooling stop? I figured it would be long gone by now...I think he has all his teeth, yet he still seems like a never ending faucet (well, maybe he is working on his 2 year molars - there are 2 year molars, right?). And see what I mean about the tongue???

Peek a Boo!

It seems like every picture I have taken lately of him, he is sticking out his tongue! Just be nice and smile for mom...it would make me really happy (though I'm glad to have caught him actually looking at me)!!!
