Finger Painting

With ketchup (and mustard if we would have had any). I got this idea from Princess Pigbear's blog and thought Teagun would love it. Pretty much the three pictures below of him actually painting was the only time he really painted. He enjoyed eating the ketchup way more! I think he could possibly live off ketchup if we would let him right now!

Yummm...this is good paint!

And one of him washing off in the sink afterwards.

what a fun idea. I know Zack would love it, but I only like ketchup in very small doses and can't stand mustard, so I don't think I have the stomach for it. Maybe we'll try chocolate pudding!

My mom's friend is a retired kindergarden teacher and she used to let the kids print their letters/numbers in pudding. I heard her talking about it years ago and have remembered it b/c it sounds like such a fun activity.

This is such a neat idea! Ethan brought home his first finger painting project yesterday! The teacher's note said he was kinda confused and didn't know what to do with it, which I thought was funny. I think it would be really fun to do it with pudding/ketchup... although I might have a stupid question, can I keep those and put in his scrapbook or will it rot/attract ants??? lol - such a rookie mom question, i know

awesome photos, btw :)

I'm not sure, Anne. Well, actually, I know Teagun has painted with pudding at daycare before and it got sent home with us...so I know that dries up eventually. I didn't keep the ketchup artwork though, but I assume it would eventually dry too. Daycare said Teagun was the same when they painted with pudding at first - he would dip his finger in it and then lift it up saying "derwty!" lol...

What a cute idea. I need to do something like this with Devin, I know he would love it but I am afraid of the mess. Looks like Teagun did good with that part. I also might be running into the same issue with him only wanting ot eat it and not paint. He would live off ketchup too :-) Cute pictures, as always!

What a cool idea!! The pics are great, as usual. I especially like the last one of him washing off in the sink - cool capture with his expression and the frozen water drops!

Cute, as always! I LOVE that last picture. Was he in a bathroom or the kitchen? What were your settings?
